A good K-Star Road visit can be pleasantly small: find a few GangnamDol figures, take your photographs and have a break nearby. The attraction works best as a public-art stop in a wider Gangnam day, rather than a search for entertainment-company entrances.
The figures celebrate K-pop groups through their designs. Enjoy the connection that is actually there: music-inspired street art. A group’s symbol does not establish a current appearance, a shop endorsement or permission to enter an office.

Find the public route first
Visit Seoul’s K-Star Road guide describes an approximately one-kilometer stretch of GangnamDols around Apgujeong and Cheongdam. It names group-themed designs including Girls’ Generation, EXO and TVXQ, and lists the public attraction as free.
The official access point is Apgujeong Rodeo Station, Exit 2. Save both 압구정로데오역 and 한류스타거리 before setting off. Do not confuse Apgujeong Rodeo with Apgujeong Station: similar English names can still mean a different arrival.
Check the current walking route from your station exit, including any lift needs and street works. Use designated crossings when changing sides. This guide does not promise that every listed sculpture is unobstructed on the day.
Choose the size of the stop
| Your main interest | Plan | Keep optional |
|---|---|---|
| A particular group’s design | Locate that figure and a permitted place for a photo | Completing the whole street |
| Street art and neighborhood browsing | Walk a comfortable section, then pause | Shopping at a specific branch |
| Albums and merchandise | Confirm a real retailer and branch stock separately | Assuming a sculpture trail is a shopping center |
| An outdoor stop in cold or wet weather | Shorten the walk and identify an open indoor break | Following every pin from an old fan map |
There is no prize for collecting every photograph. Choose the designs that mean something to you and leave enough time for the rest of the day. If you are traveling with someone who is less interested in K-pop, agreeing on the length of the stop beforehand makes the outing easier for both of you.
Take the picture without occupying the pavement
Check the flow of pedestrians before stopping. Keep bags and props close, take turns and step aside to review photos. Ask before including strangers prominently in a shot.
A firsthand visitor account describes how cold weather and extra walking changed the outing. That is a useful planning reminder, not a current restaurant map. Locate your own break rather than assuming a warm seat will be beside every sculpture.

Finish with something you chose for yourself
Pick a café, gallery or shop because its current offering interests you. Check its hours and entrance independently. Avoid treating an old celebrity association as proof that an artist still visits or recommends it.
Working offices, homes, schools and hotel entrances are outside this plan. Do not wait for vehicles or follow staff. K-Star Road offers a public way to enjoy fandom without turning someone else’s private day into a destination.
